Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

my son has been with me and i been raising him on my own the past 9 months on my own without my baby fathers help he wants me to let him see him but i havent because of the fact that he hasnt helped me out...i want to file full custody so i can let my baby have the privalidge of having his father in his life and not have to worry if hell bring him back to me or not and i want to file child support so he can help me support his son. what are my chances of getting full custody? p.s. the baby father is not on the birth certificate we did have a dna test done and was proven the father but my son has my last name not his fathers, also his father is not a u.s. citizen.

Full custody with visitation may be a possibility. It will depend on several factors, including whether the father wants shared custody, and whether the court will grant his request for shared custody. In any event, you should be entitled to child support based on his income.
