Are lost wages excluded from the monies that lawyers take their percentage from?

The typical contingency fee agreement that personal injury lawyers use in these cases provides for a percentage--usually 33-1/3--of the amount of the settlement. Unless your agreement is otherwise, that is what the lawyer will charge you. The components that make up the settlement amount are irrelevent for these purposes.
