Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

My ex gf refuses to give me back my expensive television that is at her house where I used to live. Police said I need to go to civil court. She is holding the tv hostage until I give her 350 bux for a laptop that was already damaged that was shattered during an argument. How can I get my tv back and is it worth it considering her defense will be that I'm responsible for replacing her laptop. I'm in Baltimore county Maryland.

It all depends on the value of the TV versus the value of the laptop. One scenerio is that you sue her for X and she countersues you for Y. One or both of you may be successful. If both of you are successful in pursuing your lawsuits, the totals would be netted.
