Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland
I have had a judgement of cofession ruling placed and my bank account is frozen. How can I get this lifted and vacated. I have tried to contact the attorney and they will not negotiate. I live in md.

The attorney has all the power now because you signed a confess judgment note which entitled the lender to get an automatic judgment against you upon your default. He has now attached your bank account for the amount due. He will next file an order directing the bank to transfer the money owed including interest, court costs and attorney fees, to him. Then whatever is left in your account will be freed up. You don't want to add anything to the account while the attachment is in effect, because it will be frozen as well. If you have any automatic deposits like your paycheck or social security, you should try and stop those asap.
