Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

I work for a large trucking co. we haul new autos . I have a truck leased to this co. they have informed us that they are going to cancel our leases. We are union drivers. If they cancel our leases we still retain our jobs but we lose a large amount of income that the truck produces which will put a large strain on the life stile that the truck has provided. The union cannot help in this matter.

You should have the lease reviewed by an attorney for a potential action against the company for their breach. Call or email if I can be of assistance.

The lease with the truck rental company may provide a basis for action. Should the lease be silent as to terms and conditions that avail a course of action other claims can be brought.

I assume your company has contracts in place for hauling automobiles. I also assume that your business will be increasing due to sales from the cash for clunkers program. Your contracts will also become part of the complaint against the truck rental company.

There is a potential effect with the union. We need to discuss the obligations and responsibilities that your company has with the union and its members.

Contact me to discuss. I will need to see the lease and your contracts.
