Legal Question in Immigration Law in Maryland

i have been an international student in US for 5 years, i obtained some credit cards and student loan (total of around 15000$) through social security number that i got legally. i always pay the minimum, so until today everything is still in good standing.

the problem is, i have graduated and by law i have one year to get a job here. turns out i couldn't get a job because of the economy and have to leave US. if i leave the country with the unpaid debt, does that mean i can never re-enter the country even as a tourist?? or what choices do i have

thank you

A foreign student can NOT apply and obtain federal student loans. It's only for US citizens and lawful permanent resident. When you applied for student loans did you state that you are a US citizen? How were you able to obtain federal student loans or what kind of loans are you referring to? Please clarify.
