Legal Question in Immigration Law in Maryland

I am a naturalized citizen of America. I am planning to sponsor my brother by using form I-130. But he does not have a birth certificate. What should he do?

Also does I have to file separate I-130 for his wife and 2 kids.

Please advice

Thank you

He must have a birth certificate showing both parents' names, date and place of birth. He should inquire with the authorities of his native country. Sometimes, other documents can be used instead.

That would be your burden to prove that he is indeed your brother before a petition can be approved.

You file only one I-130, that will include his wife and kids.

Waiting time in this visa category is at least 11 years (for some countries could be longer).
