Legal Question in Employment Law in Maryland

I work for a union.. My partner and i both started working in 2002. Your seniority is based on hours made the first year, i made more hours than my partner so i'm more senior than him! Are jobs are equal skill but he makes more money than me by about 8 dollars an hour..He worked 1 day back in the 80's so he makes the same rate as those guys who have been working since the 80's. He left the industry for all those year and i am more senior than him but make less money! Is there something about equal pay for equal work here? Just curios!

Consider filing a grievance with the union if you have a problem with your pay.

Best of luck.
