Written offer letter

I received an offer letter for a promotion and verbally accepted. Is the offer letter legally binding contract?

It all depends on what the letter states. By way of example only, many times, offers of employment and promotion are made in writing, but the workers are still at will employees who can be fired for almost any reason.
