Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

Personal Property - Premises Liability

I own a large, open plot of land and some neighbors and friends have asked to ride motorcycles and all terrain vehicles on the property. They can ride on the land, but I would like to be released from any lawsuit, etc. resulting from any potential injury, accident or the like. Is there any suggested pre-consent forms I should use or create?

Thank You

Maryland law applies over invitee status or permitted use. Many issues are present for which you should seek counsel. Even with a well drafted waiver, other matters apply. As a real property owner you need to protect your interests. Consult an attorney.

There are such forms--you've probably signed one if you rented a canoe or went on a commercial "adventure" trip of some kind. Health clubs often use them as part of the membership agreement. If you're serious about having a well-drafted document prepared, I suggest you consult an attorney, who will know what language to put in the agreement that best protects you.
