Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland

Help Please! I am renting a home in Maryland and the Landlords haven\'t been paying there mortgage. We received a letter that a foreclosure action has been filed in our county court. Its warning that we could be evicted, even though we have paid faithfully and on time. What rights do I have and should I continue paying rent to people who aren\'t paying there mortgage?? I am scared as I have a wife and son who depend on me...

You have certain rights as a tenant. Maybe you want to make an arrangement with the entity that is foreclosing and you should contact an attorney for assistance.

You should probably consult an attorney. Until the property is actually sold at auction, your landlord still has the legal right to collect rent from you....and it is entirely possible that the landlord could stop the foreclosure by the filing of a bankruptcy and then reorganize him/herself financially so that there never is a sale at auction. so, you are in a predicament which probably will require some negotiation to get you disentangled from the landlord and the lender.
