Legal Question in Traffic Law in Maryland
46.2-862 Reckless Driving (PACE) 80 in a 60
Two of us were pulled over in Virgina and given the same ticket for the above mentioned. I agree that I may have been driving fast, but not 80. I had my speedometer calibrated by a reputable service center in Maryland where I live and they said that my speedometer read 80 but I was actually only going 76. I also have not had a speeding or moving violation ticket in over 15 years with a clean driving record.
My question is, do I need to retain an attorney to fight this case and am I looking at jail time for this infraction? What should I do from here?

You should repost this in the Virginia traffic forum. My understanding is that this charge is jailable in Virginia.
