Legal Question in Traffic Law in Maryland

I just got arrested for my second DUI and was release the same morning. The officer still has my paperwork(complaint, temporary 45 day license, and MVA request hearing form that needs to be sent within 10 days of the citation). The officer has been calling my brother trying his hardest to deliver my paperwork to him. I've tried calling several times but could not get through to the officer. I live in Baltimore, the charge was in Waldorf (about an hour and a half away from each other). Is this something that can effect this case going forward?

Also, for both of my tickets, I have the defendant copy and the "return to court" copy. Was this a mistake?

You obviously need to get the paperwork from the officer, and a lawyer. Some charges might be paid out, without going to court, that might be what the "return to court" copy is. However, before you do that, since you also have DUI charges which you must go to court on, talk to a lawyer before paying out any fines.

Depending on whether the officer makes a mistake, it may raise a legal defense.
