Follow the instructions on the notice you received in the mail to request a hearing. Traffic camera citations do not carry points.

The best way to contest these camera tickets is to pay very close attention to the testimony of the officer who comes to Court. There are certain things that they have to provide (such as proper placement of the cameras). Read the requirements of the statute very carefully. I have been successful twice this way. Also, despite the fact that the statute basically allows per-se admissibility of a photograph without ANY testimony about the workings of the camera system, I would challenge the officer's lack of testimony about the camera system also.

Camera cases do not carry points, if simply paid, because the citation is mailed to the owner, who might not have been the person driving. However, if you appear to contest it, you permit the state to identify the driver. Then, if you lose, points might be assessed.
