Legal Question in Traffic Law in Maryland

I was issued a traffic ticket and was willing to pay until I noticed that the officer failed to wright the correct information. The ticket was the wrong year of my car and the incorrect zip code to my address. How do I dispute this when I go to court?

A person disputes charges by pleading not guilty. However, it is unlikely that the court will find that you did not have notice of the charge, because the year of your car and the zip code are incorrect on the citation. Not every mistake is fatal to the state\'s case.\n\nIf the citation does not state a charge, or if it ambiguously charges more than one offense in a single citation, then you may have something. Of course, the officer can issue new citations, if the one you have were dismissed for these procedural reasons as opposed to on the merits of what you have been accused of doing.
