Legal Question in Traffic Law in Maryland

I live in MD and got a ticket in MD for driving on a suspended license (from an unpaid previous ticket). I immediately went online and paid the ticket that caused the suspension and got my license un-suspended the same day.

I believe this same thing happened once before and when I went to court for driving on suspended that ticket was "thrown" out because my license was un-suspended the very same day. Does this sound correct?

It's possible, because the prosecution has discretion whether to pursue charges. Even a fist time offender might be sentenced to serve the maximum time. An experienced criminal defense attorney can help you evaluate the prosecution's case, any defenses that you might have, and any plea offer that might be made, so that you can decide whether to go to trial. Consider seeking a confidential consultation.
