Legal Question in Traffic Law in Maryland
I received my 2nd letter for uninsured vehicle violation. The car hadn't been moved, and wasn't driven, since it failed its initial inspection and was waiting for repairs during the extremely cold winter. I currently have insurance on the vehicle and got it insured once it passed inspection. However, I am now being fined for the past, which I don't think is fair. Also, the insurance company failed to notify me that the insurance had lapsed. I went to the MVA and they didn't give me any option to appeal, only an option to arrange a payment plan. What can I do?

An experienced criminal defense attorney can help you evaluate the prosecution's case, any defenses that you might have, and any plea offer that might be made, so that you can decide whether to go to trial. Consider seeking a confidential consultation.
