Legal Question in Traffic Law in Maryland
traffic violation for leaving the scene of a parking lot scrape..i never even knew i scraped another car...i went inside and shopped and came back out and went home and the police came and charged me ...court is tomorrow and i have no money for an lawyer now what options do i have?

If a charge, carries the possibility of jail as a penalty, the Office of the Public Defender might appoint a lawyer for you. OPD requires you to apply at least 10 business days before your court date. Ask the Court for a postponement and apply to OPD.
