Legal Question in Traffic Law in Maryland
I have an unresolved DUI and missed the court date resulting in a failure to appear and a bench warrant of $2,500. I am a resident of Connecticut and have never been in legal trouble in Maryland before this. I currently do not have money for a bail bondsmans help. I am wondering how much time will I spend in jail and if there is any way to resolve this matter without doing time?

Perhaps the warrant could be recalled, if there is a good reason. Whether active incarceration is imposed as a sentence depends on the seriousness of the offense and the defendant's prior record. An attorney can evaluate the charges, the law, and the unique facts of your case. In addition, an attorney can advise you how to proceed at each stage of your case.
