Legal Question in Workers Comp in Maryland

injury @ work

I was injured at work and now on WC. I feel that my employer was to blame as I had to lift something(400lbs) with another employee which was not my job. I had 4 back surguries since and was terminated since. Cn I sue my x employer for disregarding my safety?
