workmans comp payments
i was injured at work. with my injury i was relegated to light duty. My employer claims there wasn't any light duty work for me to perform. I was released to go back to full activity within 7 days. is my employer obligated to pay for the days i was out?

If you are out more than 3 days but fewer than 14, you are entitled to worker's comp benefits for all but the first 3 days. So in your case you would get benefits for 2-4 days, depending on how many of the days you missed were scheduled work days. You should receive 2/3 of your average weekly wage before taxes, prorated to the number of days for which you are elgible for benefits. You will need to file a claim with the worker's comp carrier for your employer in order to receive these benefits, and the employer should have reported this incident to the carrier when you were hurt.
