Legal Question in Administrative Law in Massachusetts
Contracts/Family
I co-signed an auto loan last year with my then fiance. We are no longer together. I asked her to refinance taking me off the loan and she won't. Both of our names are on the loan, title and registration. What are my options?

Well, if she's paying, that's a good start. You may be unable to force this issue.

Re: Contracts/Family
A creative lawyer may be able to make an argument that it is inequitable for your ex-fiance to continue to use your credit to finance her purchase. The end result of that effort is uncertain, however, and may likely be expensive for you to pursue. I suggest that you contact the lender and inform them of your situation. They may be willing to work something out with you.
