Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Massachusetts
breaking and entering
My boyfriend was staying with me for a few days.The lady who rents above us knows my boyfriend.She called the cops & told them she thought someone broke into my place.My boyfriend (who is African American)was asleep in the house.We leave the door unlocked when people are home.Two cops (white males)showed up to the house & entered. My boyfriend did't hear them until they were in his face with guns drawn on him telling him to get on the floor. My question is can i sue the officers for coming into my home & can i sue the lady for making a false claim of breaking & entering?
