Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Massachusetts
Electronic surveillance
I'm trying to understand interpit the MGL (Massachusetts) statue: G. L. c. 272, 99.
Recently a client found a tape recorder in her vehicle. The recorder was being used to monitor her conversations and behavior. The recorder intecepted oral communications of several dozen other individuals.
The vehicle this recorder was implanted in is owned by another individual who in any case had no authorization to intercept the second individuals communications.
Are these conversations immicible in court?
Would an admission of posessing these recordsing constitute a crime?

Re: Electronic surveillance
Recording another person without their knowledge and consent is illegal. For that reason, it is also entirely inadmissible in court.
