Garnishment of 75 percent of wages

I had a court date ,sent payments to the lawyer,sent in papers to the court house i was summonsed by aand they sent papers back stating they had no record of my case. (none of the papers sent to me were notarized) the other day i was called to the hr at my job and was told that they were taking 75percent of my wages and i would be left with minimum wages. Is there anything i can do to work it out with the creditor? I cannot survive on minimum wages,i am struggling now as it is? Help me please!!!

First, there should be a docket number on the papers you have received from the court. You can call the court and give them that number, and they should be able to find the case.

Second, you may be a candidate for bankruptcy. A chapter 7 case would immediately stop all collection activity, including garnishment. Call a lawyer familiar with bankruptcy law to find out if that option is right for you.
