There are certain circumstances under which you would be responsible for the bill. For example, if the credit card was used by you to make purchases, or if you were an authorized user or account holder. You may want to consult with an attorney. Generally speaking, though, his estate will be responsible for the credit card debt, and not you. To the extent that you stand to inherit any and all of his probate estate, you will undoubtedly be dealing with this at some point. My best wishes to you and your husband.
