Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Massachusetts

Hi, My Question concerns debt collection agencies. For the past few years they have been calling us about my uncles son. They think he lives in our house. Usually, they leave messages on our answering machine. Lately, the calls have been getting more numerous and more threatening.

Do we have any legal options to stop this harassment. Thank you for your help.

You need to send them a letter (i) notifying them that the debtor does not live at that address, and (ii) demanding that they cease from any further communication. Almost always, hiring a lawyer in a situation like this can really make a difference. Please feel free to give me a call. 617-357-4898. Chris
