Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Massachusetts
My wife got a summons and complain on the Citi credit debt she owed. I am the authorized user of the card and the debt was occurred by my sole business. Can I represent her to file an answer and/or appear at the court on her behalf?

Generally speaking you need to be an attorney to represent someone before the district, small claims, or superior courts in Massachusetts.
You might be able to appear with her and a judge or magistrate might allow you to speak too. But some judges will not.
You can help her with the answer in the privacy of your own home - but you should not sign on her behalf.
In the meantime, you may want to contact the lawyers' office representing the plaintiff, and see if you can work something out directly with them.
