Legal Question in DUI Law in Massachusetts
minor transporting
my 20yr old son was driving with 3 21 year olds. Minutes after a 21 year old purchased liquor and placed it in my sons car trunk, he was randomly pulled over and told to open the trunk, then arrested. My son, like myself cannot tolerate alcohol,so does not drink. the 21 yr old showed the officer his receipt and license, stating my son was not the purchaser. no one was drinking or drunk at the time. My son was arrested regardless. If he loses his license, he will lose his job and his carreer he has worked very hard for, leaving him with substantial debts, and no health insurance. He will be arraigned in 4 days in Hadley MA district court, 3 hours from our home. Please advise how to help get this case dismissed. He doesn't have a great driving record, but has no prior convictions and no registry violations for over 1 year.

Re: minor transporting
Most attorneys are able to get a case like that dismissed on court costs if the individual has no record or minimal record. I would definitely talk to an attorney about the case who can tell you about all your options. Martha Kovner
