My boyfriend and I are looking to get a place together. His ex-wife pays him alimony after a 30+ year marriage. In the state of MA, will the alimony stop if we live together unmarried?

The answer is 'maybe'.

Your boyfriend should take his divorce decree or separation agreement to a family law attorney to have it reviewed. The new alimony reform law makes cohabitation grounds for the termination of alimony, but there are some exceptions.
