Re: Child Support

Your child support obligations are figured from your gross income. To determine the amount you will owe you will need to obtain a Child Support Guideline. This is a form which you can get at any Probate and Family Court Registry office. The formula is on one side of the guideline and the worksheet is on the other. Its complicated but not impossible. You will also need to know your wife's gross weekly wage, especially if she makes more than $15,000 per year.If you can't get to the Probate Court and you have access to a fax machine, call my office and I'll fax you the Guidelines. My name is Atty. Bill St. James, I practice in Florence, Massachusetts. Area Code (413) 586-3341. There will be no charge for this service.
