do i have to pay alimony if i make 70,000.00 a year?

i am being asked to pay alimony and i have been told before that i do make enough to have to pay it.

It depends what the judge says. To be ordered to pay alimony, it is done by agreement or by a court order. If it is contested, then you should have had a trial or hearing to determine if alimony should be paid, and then how much, and for how long.
