In Personam Jurisdiction in Massachusetts

I was divorced 3 years ago (married and lived with ex in MA during the marriage). The judge made my wife waive alimony both past and present because the child support payment was so hefty. The separation agreement which was merged into the divorce decree states ''commencing upon termination of child support, this court may review'' the issue of alimony. I have lived in CT for the past 2 years and was wondering whether or not the court had in personam jurisdiction over me? Will they always have in personam jurisdiction over me the rest of my life no matter where I go? Also can my ex begin proceedings prior to the termination of child support?

The judgment of the court appears to create continuing jurisdiction. As a result, Massachusetts is likely to have in personam jurisdiction over you unless your ex-wife moves out of Massachusetts.
