Legal Question in Health Care Law in Massachusetts
Cost of being a Health Care Proxy
I'm a Health Care Proxy for a Step Mother several hours away, Can I be reimbursed for travel expenses and how long do I have to submit a bill to her Estate?

I find it hard to imagine that you would be reimbursed for your assistance as health care agent.
I'm unclear whether your step mother is living or is deceased. If she is living, she does not yet have an 'estate', and if she has passed away, then you are no longer her proxy.
If you wish, you may submit a bill to the estate for your services as her professional or semi-professional caretaker, but only if you provided her services and care above and beyond what would be expected from a family member.
I'll be interested if any CT attorneys can provide more clarity.

I am not a member of the bar in Massachusettes and thus can not answer your question. This needs to be answered by an attorney who does elder law in MA.
I am sorry I could not help you.
