Legal Question in Immigration Law in Massachusetts
Hi, I petitioned for my husband to get his greencard. He has already received the temporary greencard. We separated and were talking about getting divorced. I decided to withdraw my petition and wrote a letter and brought it in person to the USCI. They told me they were going to put the letter on his file. Two months later, me and my husband reconciled. I never told him anything about the petition withdrawal letter, I filed with the USCI. Now that we are happily together again, I feel terrible about what I did and I am afraid he may lose his greencard. What can I do at this point? Please help. Thank you. Keila

Yes, Keila, this situation can become an issue when your husband and you apply to remove conditions from his residency (I understand that he has a conditional green card valid for 2 years).
You should seek legal assistance with his petition to remove conditions which must be filed on time.
