Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

I'm getting setup to be fired

My husband was put on paid leave and it's been about a week now. We believe he is being set up to be fired for insubordination when it never occurred. When he goes in to the office to talk about his future at the company, should he bring a lawyer? What's the best way to handle this?

More information is necessary to provide a meaningful assessment of a suggested approach to the situation. Much more detail about the surrounding circumstances is required.

Very generally speaking, your husband probably should *not* sign any documents proposed by the employer concerning the dispute and/or separation pending review and analysis of the situation and any proposed agreements concerning it. The employer probably will not be alramed if your husband requests time to consult with an attorney prior to making any decisions regarding his employment or separation therefrom.
