how to get back a security deposit from a deseased landlord

You should check with the registry of deeds to see who owned the property as of record. If it was only one person, then you have to sue the estate. If it was more than one person, make a demand on the surviving owner. If the surviving owner refuses to pay, then you will have to sue them.

you can sue the new landlord because the law mandates that security monies be held separate from the other accounts if he did not honor this law
