Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Massachusetts
Our LL gave 45 days notice we needed to move because he was starting construction on the house. We are tenants at will. He said we needed to be out by 3/1 and we said we'd be out by 2/1. When we moved in we gave first and last. He said it doesn't matter what day we move out before 3/1 we would not get any money back. And he has started construction in the basement and has moved our boxes without asking us. Can they do that?
