If a person has a legal DNR and has a choking episode which results in cardiac arrest - do you start CPR on this individual?

I think the only person who should be making the decision to withhold emergency medical treatment is a doctor. Living Wills/Do Not Resuscitate statements are not legally enforceable in Massachusetts. These decisions should be made by your designated health care proxy, together with the guidance of a living will, and in consultation with a doctor.
