Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Massachusetts

Total Knee Replacement

I had a total knee replacement on my right knee in March 2008 and have had three manipulations since then. The knee is very stiff and I now need the left one replaced also. I am not sure at this point what to do. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank You

Re: Total Knee Replacement

What does the Orthopedist say is the cause of your problems since the TKR, and why were three manipulations since then necessary?

The rejection/complication for TKR is relatively low, assuming you had a normal (normally arthritic, that is) joint at the time of the procedure. (If you had major knee problems in your life, esp trauma, however, rejection/complication of TKR is more common.)

I would probably try a different Ortho for your second TKR if you fear the first was improperly implanted.
