Legal Question in Personal Injury in Massachusetts

Hello My name is Melissa and need some help. Me and my husband have been battling this man (Another driver) in court for a car accident caused by him (Other driver) scince mothers day of 2011. We were suing for 10,000 not even value of car that was totaled but was granted 5,600 letter in the mail said the other man had up yesterday to pay (the 26th) it is now the 27th and have recieved nothing what should i do? can he get away with this? the other driver also was driving with a suspended liscence that was revoked. Also yesterday was Sunday should i wait for the mail today but if nothing comes i don't know what to do. thank you for your time sincerely Melissa O.

I am going to assume that the driver did not have sufficient insurance, or they have decided not to defend him for one reason or another.

You may want to speak with an attorney who practices in this area before agreeing to a low settlement. If he has signed a settlement agreement, you should be able to file suit on the settlement agreement.
