I agree with attorney Lancia. There are certain steps you can take to encourage your grandmother to move the estate along.

You and your half brother may want to sit down together with an attorney and see what steps need to be taken next. If your grandmother is not carrying out her duties as executrix, you may be able to ask the court to appoint you or your half brother (or both) as executors in her place.

We represent individuals as they carry out their duties as executor. If you would like some assistance - or if you think your grandmother could benefit from the assistance of an attorney - please don't hesitate to contact our office.

I think you should contact an attorney now. The Will should have been probated within 30 days of your father's death.

If you need assistance, please feel free to contact me without obligation.
