Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts

My friend's grandmother died, leaving everything to my friend. That was 20 years ago. My friend just discovered that her father had stolen all of her inheritance. Does she have any recourse??? Thank you in advance for any assistance you can give me.

A lot more information is needed to provide an answer, which will likely be that she has no recourse at this point. For instance: Did she know at the time of her grandmother's death that she was named in the will? Did she receive notice of the will? Did her grandmother have any probate assets when she died or were assets all owned jointly with your friend's father or someone else? Why is this coming up now and not 20 years ago?
