Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Michigan

Life after filing chapter 7 - What will happen to me and is it worth it?

I have always had excellent credit. I now have 15,000 in credit card debt and because I have struggled with my payments for a couple years, can no longer get loans etc. I cannot afford my payments and I just want the pressure off. Should I file and what will happen afterward? Will I be able to get loans, cell phones, hotel rooms, airline tickets etc. All the things you need a credit card to get? Am I about to get my life back or ruin it further?

Greetings; ONLY you can decide if the cost of bankruptcy is worth living with. You will need to schedule an appointment with a bankruptcy attorney to find out if you even qualify...not everyone does. Your ability to get loans will indeed be restricted after filing bankruptcy. You can re-build your credit, but it will take time. Filing bankruptcy does not mean that you no longer are allowed to have credit cards. You only lose the ones you have outstanding debts on. It is time you called an attorney... good luck. Atty.
