Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan
Contract Default
I am a resident of Michigan (USA). I have a written agreement with a business in Quebec (Canada) regarding my employment / services. The agreement does not specify any country, state or domain for adjudication of disputes.
The business in Quebec owes me almost $7000 and is stalling and otherwise delaying my collection of funds due.
Can I take legal action in Michigan to collect from that business in Quebec ?

It MIGHT be possible to take action in Michigan, it depends on the circumstances, but enforcing it against a company in another country may be quite difficult if they do not actually do business in Michigan. I would recommend consulting an attorney that is knowledgeable with international contracts.
