Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan
Where should my lawyer be from?
I live in Michigan.
I am involved in an Indiana Partnership.
That partnership is the majority owner in a corporation incorporated in Delaware.
That corp. has its principle place of business in North Carolina, but does business through delivery in all 50 states.
I need a lawyer to look over my books and paperwork (there is NO pending litigation).
What state does my lawyer have to be from? (I would like him to be in my home state, but I'm not sure)

Re: Where should my lawyer be from?
Hi, even though I am in Michigan I would suggest that the lawyer be from Indiana since that is where the partnership is and this also presupposes that you just don't want an accountant to look over the books but that there are also legal issues.
