Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan
Mail Fraud
I have a disgruntled ex-employee who has been mailing my customers letters saying that our company is going out of business. How do I find out who is doing this and what can the penalty be for them doing this?

Re: Mail Fraud
You could sue the ex-employee for interference with an advantageous business relationship, but collectibility can always be an issue. I'm not sure it is a criminal offense, but you could check with your local police. You can contact me directly if you would like to discuss possible suit. Regards, Tim Klisz
