My husband was fired fron his job Dec. 31 His company will not give him the letter from our insurance company so we can get new insurance unless he signs a noncompete contract. What can I do?

Are you talking about the letter that advises your husband of his COBRA rights, etc.? They are required to report his termination to the insurance company and send him his COBRA notice immediately. They cannot hold that back for any reason. I would suggest you hire a lawyer to discuss the facts of the termination, why they want him to sign a noncompete, review the proposed noncompete, etc. and determine the best way to proceed. It sounds as those they have already engaged in borderline illegal activity.
