Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan
permission to use a patent and copyright
What kind of contract should we have drawn up between us and the person that owns the patent and copyright. He gave us permission to us it. We think we should have a contract between the 2 parties.

Re: permission to use a patent and copyright
There should be a licensing agreement between the parties spelling out the terms and conditions for the use of the intellectual property. It protects both you and the inventor since this will alleviate any ambiguity in the relationship. Contact a reputable patent attorney in your area to draft the agreement.
Good luck!
