Soliciting a member of the clergy
Is it illegal (within the US) to solicit a priest for their vote and funding in a political campaign?

The law treats all voters equally, including those who happen to be members of the clergy. Priests can thus be legally approached in any way that would be legal to approach a lay voter.
The Church likely has its own rules about how priests should handle such situations, but those rules are not laws and are thus beyond the expertise of most lawyers.
